Under counter TV sets are easy to install these days, they used to more difficult years ago, my friend had one at it was a nightmare, but the models are much better designed now for ease of use and installation. You should be able to install it in about 10-15 mins.
Most people, myself included, want an affordable second TV for the kitchen, although I know people who have them installed in the garage and kids play rooms also.The best thing about under counter TV sets is that they save A LOT on counter space. It’s so much nicer having more room on the counter, so the kitchen doesn’t feel as messy and cluttered, as it can do if you have a TV set on there and also a radio too!
The quality of the screens in these TV’s has improved a lot of the past 2 years, which means you can enjoy watching the morning news while having breakfast in the kitchen or even your favorite shows. Just remember that in comparison to a $1000 big brand LCD TV’s the quality is not quite as good, but for the prices at Amazon you really can’t go wrong with these, they’re a brilliant deal.
Standard and Digital Reception
If you want to receive digital, it won’t be a problem as most of the best brands include a dual atsc/ntsc tuner that allows you to get standard and also digital reception with ease. Older versions of under counter TV’s had an issue with digital but they have caught up now and resolved this.
Screen Size and Picture Quality
Nearly all of the models are LCD, so the quality of picture is good. The screen reolution for most popular brands such as Coby, Audiovox and Venturer is great, with crystal clear picture quality. FM/AM Radio, Clock and Cool Features
I suggest you go for a brand that has the built in capability of a radio and clock, as it’s nice to have these extras, so you don’t have to fill up more counter space in the kitchen with such items.under-counter-television
Some other cool features to look for are under counter TV sets that have other AV inputs. For example you might want to hook up other speakers to the set, and you can easily do this by just plugging them into the back of the unit.

DVD Player
Most brands these days come with a built DVD player also, so you can play your favorites movies on them. This comes in handy if your family is anything like ours and argue over what movie to watch on the main screen! So I suggest getting a model that has a DVD player built into it.
Swivel and Positioning
The Audiovox 9 inch. is very easy to move and position where you want it. You can turn the screen and also flip it right under to get it out of the way.
I’m not 100% sure about all brands, but I know with the Audiovox that you can detach the screen itself from underneath and re-attach it to the top and then instead of using it as an under counter TV, you can sit on your desk if you wish. This makes it pretty flexible, you can even take it away with you on holiday.

Negatives
I do have some negative feedback that I came across when researching also. A few people complained about the size of the units that bought not fitting into there cabinet space very well. I think this is only an issue if you have a very tight space to work with, as nearly all under cabinet TV sets are designed specifically for fitting standard cabinets. I suggest to just measure the area.
Also I also came across someone with an issue that their controller didn’t change the channel when they were sitting at a sharp angle to the TV. I assume this is because the infra-red reader is not able to pick up the control at these angles. I don’t think this is a major issue, you can always place a mirror in the room and bounce it off that if you really needed to.
Lowest Prices/ Top Deals
